Main function of role:
·Lead the payroll department to ensure that the company’s payroll requirements are met in the USA.
·Ensure the accurate and timely delivery of Primark US payrolls.
·Ensure that the company is compliant on local and national legislation as well as internal controls.
·Lead and manage the activities of the payroll team.
·Develop the payroll team members helping ensure retention and motivation.
·Support the stores with T&A escalations that may impact payroll.
·Take responsibility for payroll preparation/processing and any related responsibilities such as tax reporting, benefits administration or payroll systems administration and maintenance including compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and – if relevant - filing local, state, and federal payroll tax returns.
·Maintain and apply a comprehensive set of procedures in the production of payrolls and help ensure payrolls are consistently delivered to high level of accuracy.
·Act as a partner to P&C in the administration of benefits, retirement programs, 401(k) plan contributions and disbursements, and contributions to various savings plans.
·Take a business partnering approach ensuring that relationships are developed and maintained with key customers in P&C, Retail and other departments.
·Assist with company audits and help ensure that team is compliant on audit and data protection regulations.
·Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers including contract managing the payroll supplier. Liaise with software developers on any issues and enhancements.
·Organise consistency and error checks on data including capturing any issues and reporting back to relevant stakeholders.
·Pursue policy of continuous improvement on systems and setups ensuring the efficient operation of the company’s payroll function.
·Ensure that reporting needs within the company are met.
·Ensure that financial outputs fit the company financial structure including dealing with enquiries on financial reports and transfer journals.
·Demonstrate a hands-on approach to problem solving.
·Support growth in the company.

Skills & Competencies
- Detailed knowledge of US payroll regulations and FLSA.
- Knowledge of payroll, HR and time and attendance systems & setups. Current systems used include but are not limited to Kronos, Workday, and Ceridian Dayforce.

Typically 10 or more years' of Payroll experience with at least 4 or more years' experience of managing staff.
