Network Planning & MIS Manager

Role: Network Planning & Analytics Manager
Purpose of role:To forecast and plan our volumes in our end to end supply chain operations
Reports to:Head of Central Supply Chain
Work Location:Islip Depot (with travel across depots and Head Offices)

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver volume management plans to support our business and supply chain strategy for the future as our business continues to grow extensively. This covers but is not limited to global inbound, multi country distribution, re-processing, secondary ordering and internal stock balancing across our depot network.
  • Own all end to end data and the volume dashboards, by owning all processes that review our volume management, plan and forecast it effectively on weekly, periodic and annual basis. Ensuring that these plans are shared and agreed with the various key business stakeholders in a timely manner.
  • Ensure regular, periodic reviews of the plans with the operational teams to ensure awareness and risks are managed.
  • Manage team of planning and data analysts that provide timely data insights and SC modelling to support data driven decisions across operational, tactical and strategic initiatives for internal SC stakeholders and external stakeholders.
  • Work with the Data and Analytics Centre of Excellence to ensure ubiquity of accurate Supply Chain data for activities across the breadth of the international supply chain.
  • Work with operational colleagues to drive the lowest possible costs of our end to end operation, whilst managing our customer service levels.
  • Work very closely with our key stakeholders internally such as B&M and retail, to ensure we manage and deliver a supply chain activity plan to meet their needs.
  • Develop plans to manage capacities and cover events such as new stores, new range launches and seasonal transitions effectively.
  • To drive consistency across the ways of working across the all our operations through structure, systems, processes and people.
  • To develop action orientated BI and MI across the end to end Supply Chai
Knowledge, Skills Experience:
  • Extensive knowledge of operational multi site planning in an international supply chain environment, having completed such a role with a similar organisation to ourselves.
  • Strong planning and forecasting experience and skills.
  • Good influencing skills and ability to work under pressure through the building of strong relationships with multiple stakeholders
  • Proven experience of having worked in a similar role previously
  • Good end to end supply chain awareness and understanding and a solid grounding in supply chain operations
  • Familiar with handling large data sets and use of data extract workflow and presentation tools such as Tableau, Alteryx etc
  • The individual should be self-motivated, focussed and results orientated, with the ability to operate within a highly pressurised and fast paced environment, consistently delivering results and achieving corporate objectives on time and within the agreed parameters.
  • Appropriate planning / forecasting experience
  • A minimum of 5 years supply chain experience in a fast paced supply chain environment
  • Excellent organisational, prioritisation and time management skills
  • Cultural awareness and sensitivity
  • Excellent at stake holder management and relationship building
  • Excellent problem solving, strategic thinking and planning skills
  • Relationship builder both internally and externally with strong influencing skills
  • Strong administrative skills
  • Effective communicator - 2nd language skills are a benefit as this role requires significant travel around our global network.
