Employee Relations Specialist
The Employee Relations Specialist will provide employee relations support to the Primark US Employee Relations team, the Boston MA home office colleagues, and retail management teams across the US market. This role will provide administrative support to the Employee Relations team and intermediate level ER support to the US team.

Reports to: Head of Employee and Labor Relations
This role will:
Act as a Primark brand ambassador and role model in furthering our People First culture and always pushing to enhance our Colleague Experience. Help create an open, honest, fair, and transparent working environment. Provide administrative and strategic planning support to the Employee Relations team as they support the rapid growth of new retail store openings. Provide intermediate level Employee Relations support to the home office colleagues and retail colleagues as needed.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • Analysis and reporting of colleague turnover and colleague absenteeism
  • Reviewer and decision maker on adverse applicant background checks on an as needed basis
  • Conduct exit interviews and escalate feedback to Employee Relations team and senior retail leadership on an as needed basis
  • Review and follow-up on retail store corrective action logs and investigation files for accuracy and completed status
  • Active partner in the development of employee and labor relations presentations and trainings
  • Manage the Digital Learning Platform for Employee Relations owned compliance trainings
  • Assist Head of Employee Relations with the annual budget, monthly purchase order requests, and payment of appropriate invoices
  • Facilitate various trainings to various stakeholders within the business
  • Submit all Employee Relations related content to the retail stakeholders through the Retail Communications App
  • Assist in monitoring the external labor relations landscape
  • Employee Relations administrative support in response to any major in-store incidents that may require in-store counselling or EAP support
  • Active partner in evolving the colleague experience for home office colleagues
  • Assist the Employee Relations team with all projects as needed
  • Oversight and analysis of retail stores use of UKG for colleague attendance
  • Pull reports as needed from Workday and other HRIS platforms
  • Benchmark various HR metrics against other retailers
  • Assist Head of Employee Relations with the induction plans and assimilation of new members of the Employee Relations team
  • Resolve minor to intermediate Employee Relations issues within retail stores on an as needed basis per direction of Head of Employee Relations
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3-5 years HR/ER experience
  • Preferably having worked in the retail sector and/or corporate office setting
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft suite of tools (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple high-priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-starter; works well both independently and in partnership with the Employee Relations team
  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred

Role Requirements
  • This role will primarily work out of the Boston MA office with frequent store visits or a New York City metro area store
  • 25%-50% travel required
